| HoF Halle-Wittenberg is the only Institute in East Germany which carries out research on higher education. Although this implies a particular thrust for its projects and services, the Institute’s approach is not restricted to analyses of regional developments.
Established in 1996, HoF Halle-Wittenberg has gone on from a predecessor: from 1991 until 1996, the "Projektgruppe Hochschulforschung Berlin-Karlshorst" documented and analysed the restruc-turing of the East German higher education system.
The Institute for Research on Higher Education Halle-Wittenberg is funded jointly by the Federal Government and the State of Saxony-Anhaltine. Legally it is an associated research institute of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. xsd:string |
