ALIGNED

http://aksw.org/Projects/ALIGNED an entity of type: FundedProject

The ALIGNED quality-centric, software and data engineering project is a research project funded by Horizon 2020. ALIGNED will develop and validate a novel process for combined software and data engineering of evolvable data intensive systems. The process will utilise advanced semantic data-modelling, quality analytics and human feedback. The most effective software services or data manipulation tools require costly custom software for specific data sets. Our process will reduce the development, deployment and maintenance costs of end-to-end software development while increasing the agility of the software engineering cycle. DBpedia will be one of the four used cases of the ALIGNED project.

ALIGNED will develop new ways to build and maintain IT systems that use big data on the web. ALIGNED brings together world class computer science researchers, software companies specialised in data-intensive systems like DBpedia, information companies and academic curators. Together they will create more efficient methods of building IT systems that extract, process, publish and share web data.
